Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Brooklyn Park Evangelical Free Church unique?
Our church reflects the rich variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds found in our city.  Therefore, we offer a 9:00 AM Sunday service that is more relaxed with some traditional expressions while at 10:30 AM we enjoy an upbeat multi-cultural worship style.  Both services present the timeless truths of Christianity in a way impacts people in their lives today.  No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, you can grow in your understanding of Christianity at these services. In addition, we have disciplemaking Home Groups and Adult and Youth Education that helps people connect with God and  with other Christians.

What should I wear to BPEFC?
Casual clothes are the norm at BPEFC. For example, people often wear shorts or jeans. Some are dressed in suits and dresses. Whatever is comfortable for you is fine.

How long are the services?
Sunday services typically last about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Will I be singled out in any way as a visitor?
At BPEFC, you'll never be put on the spot, never feel forced to give money, and never embarrassed. You won't be asked to participate in the offering. You don't have to sign anything or register your attendance in any way (unless you place your child in the nursery or Sunday School- and then only for your child's security). Let the service be a gift to you.

Where do my kids go during the service?
Our children's ministry provides an exciting experience for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and grade schoolers through sixth grade during the 10:30 AM service. This allows you to get the most from your experience at BPEFC while your child has a great time in a safe, friendly kid-centered environment.  Or, you can worship together with your children during the 9:00 AM service.

If you have a teenager, they are invited to attend the youth group. All classes are listed on the bulletin or click here.

Is BPEFC a Christian Church?
Though non-traditional in style, BPEFC is deeply committed to the eternal truths of the Christian faith. Our vision is simple: to become a biblically functioning community of believers so that Christ's purposes can be accomplished in this world. Our mission is equally clear: to help spiritual seekers become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

Our Core Values, Statement of Faith and Vision Statement define our beliefs even further.  The following documents will also help you better understand our church: Biblical Definition of a Disciple, Core 4 Spiritual Journey Evaluation, Core 4 Commitments, Core 4 Power Point and Ministry Strategy.
