Kid's Quest

For: Kids, Pre-kindergarten through Grade 2

Cost: $30/child (Includes book and goes toward cost of store items, carnival and awards)

Overview: Kid's Quest will help children discover the Bible in 4 years. The weekly lessons are focused on the values in Bible stories.

Format: Children will be in groups according to their age. Each group will rotate through 4 areas: story time, art project, games and memory work/prayer requests. Snacks will also be given during the evening. Children will be with the same leader and group all year long.

Homework: Each lesson is broken up into four areas: listen, learn, look and live.

1. Listen: Family members will read the story to their child and talk about it.
2. Learn*: Family members will ask the provided questions and write down the answers in the spaces provided. Practice the memory verse with them throughout the week, (in the car, at bedtime, during mealtimes, etc.)
3. Look: This is an activity page for the child to complete as another way to experience the Bible story. This section will also reinforce age-appropriate academic learning skills.
4. Live: Your child will learn a value to apply in their life by signing a key word. (To ensure that each child remembers what they have learned, as many senses as possible are used.)

A review lesson is scheduled every third week to go over the previous lessons and help them remember the values and verses.

Family Responsibility: Children are expected to complete their homework with the help of a parent and memorize at least one Bible verse*.

Incentives: Homework is checked each week and children earn an award, (a trip to the store), after every eight lessons.
