Hunger is a problem all around the world, even here in Minnesota. Second Harvest is the Upper Midwest's largest hunger relief organization and guides the distribution of donated food to local food shelves, soup kitchens, and shelters.
As a community of believers, we have been blessed with the opportunity to reach out to others and share freely the love that has been given to us. The simple gifts of our time and our hands help spread that love to people who are experiencing hardship and strife, and send a message of hope in difficult times.
On the fourth Friday of each month (except November and December), we help distribute donated food from Second Harvest to people in our community who need it most. Partnering with Second Harvest and other local churches and volunteering to distribute donated food gives us the opportunity to help those in need. Join us to help ease the pain of hunger in our community.
Next Food Giveaway is January 24, 2014.
