Core 4 Ministries

What are our key ministries that will help you grow spiritually?  People become mature disciples at our church by regularly attending a Weekend Worship Celebration (SEEKING God), joining a Small Group (LOVING one another), making Prayer, Care, Share list (SHARING Christ) and serving with a Ministry Team (SERVING others).  (Key Ministries Explained)

Key Ministries Explained

SEEKING GOD: Drawing near to God in worship and prayer, personally and corporately.

Our weekend worship services are our primary “entry” environments.  We want our guests to feel honored, so we do everything we can to welcome and include them.  Other opportunities to experience our church for the first time include Alpha or Support Groups and Celebrate Recovery.

LOVING ONE ANOTHER: Deepening spiritual growth in the context of close relationships.

There are two important commitments for Christians: first, to Christ Jesus; second, to the Church—the Body of Christ.  In our
congregation, we offer open small groups that make it easy for people to move beyond worship attendance into fellowship.

Small Groups:  Each fall, winter and spring we offer a short open small group series hosted in homes throughout our area to allow guests in worship to “test-driving” a small group experience.  When group members want to stay together they can choose to do the next short Home Group series or they can agree to meet for a longer time period as a closed accountability or Impact Groups.

(FAQ)

SHARING CHRIST: Declaring the Good News of forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ.

Prayer, Care, Share: We encourage all members to pray for non-Christian neighbors, family, friends and co-workers, invest in their

lives (care) and be ready to introduce them to Christ (share)—giving an answer to everyone who asks us about the hope that
we have in Christ Jesus (1 Peter 3:15). On-going home-based small groups called Impact Groups is where training, teamwork and accountability best support this strategy for evangelism.

SERVING OTHERS: Demonstrating God’s love by using gifts and abilities to serve within the church, the community and beyond.

We will recognize service gifts as being equally important as leadership gifts in building a healthy, disciplemaking church.

We will be a church that not only reproduces disciples, but also develops new disciplemaking churches and equips existing church leaders for intentional discipleship, starting in our own community and extending throughout the world. Our home-based Impact Groups regularly serve as ministry teams.
