Parent Information

One of the goals of the Route 252 Ministry Team is to partner with parents in providing spiritual nurturing and a solid foundation for their child. In order to accomplish this, we want to communicate with you on a regular basis. Information will be available on a regular basis through our website, mailings and emails. As always, we are available by email or phone, to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. If we're not available, please leave a detailed message!

As a parent of a child attending on Sunday mornings, your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring your child arrives in a timely manner in order to complete the sign-in process.
  • Sharing any pertinent information with the Bible Teacher, Small Group Leader or  Leadership.
  • Encouraging your child to bring offering.
  • Ensuring your child brings a Bible. (NIV is most common.)
  • Ensuring your child has used the bathroom and is ready for the day!
  • Picking up your child in a timely manner after the service and/or ministry.
  • Ensuring your child has finished breakfast (ex. muffins/juice) prior to going into the classroom.

As a parent of a child in AWANA, your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring your child brings a Bible and AWANA book. (NIV is most common.)
  • Ensuring your child completed the lesson and memorized Scripture.
  • Be familiar with the Awards Guidelines, so you can encourage your child to do his/her very best.

Wellness Guidelines

We want to provide a healthy environment in Children's Ministries, so we ask you to keep your child at home when you observe any of the following: fever/vomiting, diarrhea, discharge in or around the eyes, questionable rash, green or yellow runny nose, excessive coughing or any communicable diseases.

If the child becomes ill while in the care of a Children's Ministry Team Member, you will be notified promptly.

If your child comes down with a communicable disease after being at church, please contact a staff member at the Church Office, so that we can alert other parents.

If your child is being treated with an antibiotic, he/she should have received treatment for at least 48 hours before coming to the classroom.

For your child's protection, we ask our caregivers to follow these same guidelines.
