Help Wanted...Call to Action!

PRAY for the Disability Ministry at our church. Ask that our efforts will be glorifying to God. Pray for his leading, guidance and wisdom. Pray for the provision of volunteers and the funding needed to power this ministry.

JOIN the Disability Ministry and discover ways to put your gifts and talents into action to improve the physical and spiritual lives of persons with disabilities and their families.

OFFER encouragement and ideas to the Disability Ministry team toward the advancement of Christ's gospel and love to those with disabilities.

Mission

To welcome, edify and encourage persons with disabilities and their loved ones in all our church programs.

To provide the tools, resources and equipment to mobilize and enrich the lives of persons with disabilities and their families.

To educate the congregation and increase awareness of the needs of the persons with disabilities and how we can better meet these needs.

To constantly seek ways to enhance the worship environment for persons with disabilities.

What's Happening

Greeter and Usher awareness training.

Assisted hearing devices available.

Disability/Chronic Illness Encouragement Group meets 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.

Automatic door openers at the main and the east front entrances.

Working to remove barriers of architecture, communications and attitudes that exclude people with disabilities from full and active participation.

Provide camp scholarships for attendees with disabilities.

Goals

To identify available resources and provide effective training.

To develop outreach programs to serve those with disabilities and their families in our community.
