Welcome to Brooklyn Park Evangelical Free Church. My name is Rick Ensrud, and I'm the senior pastor. I'm so glad you've decided to visit and learn more about our ministry.

My wife, Lana, and I came to Brooklyn Park EFC in 1988. Since then, BPEFC has grown from 350 people to nearly 1000 in weekly worship. Our services are designed for everyone to enjoy—even if you've never been in church before. A typical service at BPEFC will include today's music, dramatic presentations, cutting-edge videos, and a relevant message. Whether you're a spiritual seeker or a committed Christ-follower, we'll communicate the truth from the Bible in a way that's easy for you to understand and apply to your daily life.

When you visit BPEFC, you'll meet friendly people who will help you find your way around our facilities. We have scores of volunteers who will care for your children and help you get where you need to go on our campus.

We offer a casual atmosphere, so don't worry about what you wear. Leave the tie at home and dress casually. We're more interested in changed lives than fashion trends.

Your kids will love our children's zone. We'll provide a safe and loving environment for your children so they can have fun learning about God while you enjoy the service. Children birth through sixth grade will experience programming that captivates their attention, challenges their thinking and inspires life-change as they take their next steps in Christ. Your youth will love our youth center and the ministry that leads them into understanding God's purpose for them in an increasingly complicated world. Our Life Stage Adult Bible Fellowships will give everyone an opportunity to connect with other folks working through their spiritual pilgrimage as well as receiving in-depth teaching on the great truths of the Bible.

Richard J. Ensrud Senior Pastor Brooklyn Park Evangelical Free Church

Richard Ensrud is the current Senior Pastor of the Brooklyn Park Evangelical Free Church in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Since 1988, Rick has ministered through the preaching of the Word, counseling and the training up of lay leaders to do the work of the ministry at BPEFC.  Rick is an effective communicator of the Bible and loves helping and encouraging people to grow in their relationship with God. He received a Bachelor of Science in music education from the University of North Dakota and then went on to receive a Masters of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1980. Rick pastored in Broken Bow, Nebraska at the Broken Bow Evangelical Free Church from 1980—1988. He is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree from Trinity Theological Seminary. He and his wife Lana are the parents of two young adults, Adria and Bethany. Rick and Lana reside in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Rick's hobbies are sports, hunting and reading.

Rick has been involved with the T-Net International ministry since 1991. He has developed the BPEFC church around the T-Net philosophy of intentional disciple making and has been a consultant and associate staff with T-Net for the last 5 years. Rick is currently leading a T-Net center in Zambia, Africa.
